I first met Christine when she and my wife were doing interpreter training together. Christine (together with her husband, a friend for many years) travels all over the world, from Geneva to Pyongyang interpreting at conferences on a bewildering range of topics. It is a fascinating world (with its fair share of anecdotes and events) that I can only glimpse from afar, but she is clearly both a great practitioner of the art, and an inspiring teacher for those who wish to follow this career path.
